Shifting Sands Egypt-themed desert map

Travel between maps through the in-world ocean portal. Your mask and tech tree carry across; buildings, storage, and recruited tribesmen stay on their home map. Your first character can't use the portal: control a tribesman and walk through, or use Remodel Initial Character at a bonfire on the destination map.

When Event
Daily · ~03:00 CT Coordinated cluster restart. In-game warnings on both maps at 10, 5, and 1 minutes, save snapshots taken before stop. Cloud Mist Forest returns around 03:05, Shifting Sands around 03:10.
All other hours PvE only. Always on.

Cloud Mist Forest comes back first as the cluster hub, then Shifting Sands rejoins it. That order keeps cross-map travel working after every restart.

Roadmap

No wipes. Your character, tribe, and bases are permanent. All of it.

Phase What
Now Runs Soulmask 1.0 as a two-map cluster and tracks the game's roughly-weekly patches as they ship. No reset on patch.
Ongoing Both maps stay linked and online, patched and supported.

Joining

Three steps, about five minutes total.

The only install is Tailscale, built on WireGuard, the protocol behind ProtonVPN and Mullvad. Join the network once, and both maps are reachable from then on.

Step What
1 Click the Tailscale share link in Discord to join the network. Free Tailscale account, about 30 seconds.
2 Install Tailscale, sign in, and you're on the network.
3 Launch Soulmask and use Direct Connect with the address posted in Discord. See you behind the mask.
